Interested in Raw Milk?

Here are some things you may want to know before heading out to the farm

How does pickup work from the farm?

Raw Milk can only be purchased and picked up by appointment ONLY! Please do not swing by and expect to be able to pick up milk. We have had customers come by and treat our system like a true honor system and have accidentally ended up taking other customers milk that had been previously reserved. Check out our Calendar page to see what reservation dates and times we currently have available.

After booking your appointment in the Calendar page, go through the checkout process with how many gallons you have reserved. You are not expected to pay at checkout on our website. You can simply select “pay in person” to be able to pay with cash or Venmo.

When you pickup day and time has arrived, you will come to the farm for pick up. The milk barn is located to the right (East) of the driveway when you pull in. Walking into the large main opening of the barn, the fridge is located on the left (North) side of the barn.

If you did not pay with a card through the website, there is a cow cookie jar located on the shelf below the milk INSIDE of the fridge where you can put your $8 payment. There is usually $1s inside the cookie jar to make change. If you are paying with Venmo, there is a code to scan on the OUTSIDE of the door.

Why are there three options when purchasing milk online?

In the milk section of our shop page, we have three purchasing options. This has been a little confusing for some but it’s quite simple. Our regular milk option that comes in a standard plastic milk jug is the $8.25 option. Then if you would prefer your milk to come in glass, we have a $13.25 Glass Jar Deposit option. This option is very limited so often it is sold out. When you are ready to bring your Glass Jar back to trade out for another Glass Jar of milk, we have the glass jar return option. This ensures you are only charged for the glass jar once. Because you aren’t having to pay for the glass jar a second time, you only pay $7.25 when you return it. The Glass Jar Return option is only available for those who have purchased a glass jar from us previously. If you are wanting to pick up multiple jars at one time, you will need to make  multiple Glass Jar Deposit purchases. We do not fill jars that you have of your own. Although this would be a nice option, we are very busy and find it hard to stop what we redoing to fill a jar.

Other common questions:

What do your cows eat?:

Our cows are out on pasture all day long but are given a grain supplement when they come in to get milked. In the winter they are also supplemented with hay and silage.

Are your cows A2/A2?

Yes! They have all been tested for the A2A2 gene by Central Star Lab as positive for the gene.

Do you vaccinate your cows?:

Our cows are never vaccinated OTHER THAN for a disease called Black Leg which is very deadly and we have personally had to deal with in the past. This is a one time treatment given at birth. They also receive a treatment for parasites 1-2 times a year. If for whatever reason a cow gets sick and is in need of an antibiotic, they get pulled  from milking until the following calving season.

Do I have to bring my own jar?

No. All milk is bottled in one gallon containers. We now offer a glass jar option.

Do you sell the cream separately?

At the moment no. The milk however is left cream topped so you are able to skim the cream if you wish.
